Vision
Upwardly Committed (glorifying God)
Giving Glory to God Always:
– in our worship of Him
– in our service to Him
– in our knowledge of Him
Inwardly Convicted (living evidence, a changed life)
Allowing God to Shape Our Lives by being:
– Committed to attend Worship faithfully
– Concerned to Submit to the Authority of Scriptures
– Certain to Submit to the Leadership of the Church in all Scriptural matters
– Controlled by the Spirit of God: putting away fleshly habits and selfish nature
– Challenged in personal and meaningful daily devotion, personal worship and a life of prayer
– Contrite: repenting for all personal, family and corporate sin
– Conduct and participate in daily family worship
– Correct relationships: living in only right relations with all men
– Controlling all actions, thoughts, entertainments, and dying to self, we take up our crosses and follow Jesus daily to insure holiness
– Careful to avoid worldliness, materialism, and all sinful attitudes. We endeavor to live simply finding our joy and pleasure in our God and the gift He has given us in our family.
– Cautious to live debt free when possible, to avoid unnecessary debt, to save money while being generous
– Censoring entertainment to root out all unholy influences from our minds
– Covenanted together, promising to live a disciplined godly life according to the Word of God and the convictions of this fellowship.
– Conservative:
– in theology, allowing the Bible to speak for itself as the authority
– in our mannerisms to be kind and loving while also being firm and truthful at all times.
– in our dress (not striving to look like the world & not showing what doesn’t need to be seen)
Outwardly Challenged (sharing Christ with others)
To live in a manner that points others to our Lord by:
– seeking opportunities to share the Gospel with the lost to fulfill the command of Christ to preach the Gospel and disciple all peoples
– by living in a right relationship with this body of believers as a testimony to the impact of Christ in my life.
– living in a manner that testifies to our position in Christ while in the world
